ArcGIS Online, a web mapping platform, provides a seamless process for sharing your authoritative Esri-formatted GIS content. Learn how to configure your ArcGIS Online for Organization account, create web maps and share them through web-responsive apps that work across all browsers and devices.  Attendees will learn what ArcGIS Online is, how it fits into the ESRI platform, what capabilities it has, and receive step-by-step instruction on creating a web mapping application that can be shared with anyone.  

The workshop will cover the following topics, each with hands-on examples you can participate in on your own ArcGIS online organizational or personal account:

  • ArcGIS Online Organization Settings
      • General System Overview / Credits / Maps / Groups / Utility Services / Security
  • Data
      • Organizing content / Registering ArcGIS web services / Uploading data to AGO / Utilizing Esri Content
  • Authoring Web Maps
      • Adding content / Layer settings / Configuring pop-ups / Sharing options
  • Sharing Web Maps
      • App templates / Web App Builder / Embedding into your website / Story Map Templates
  • Tips & Tricks
      • ArcGIS Online Assistant / Thumbnails

Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will have the knowledge and ability to create web maps, map applications, and story maps and be able to share them publically with the world using a personal or organizational ArcGIS Online account.

account registered.
