Midland County GIS Department Update - Midland County, as part
of its new Geographic
Information Systems program, is collecting and verifying a
variety of data such as road centerlines, water lines, home addresses, property
values, and much more. The county has contracted with Mt. Pleasant-based Amalgam
LCC for the address-collecting portion of the project, which requires workers
to drive every road in the county and pull up alongside homes to confirm the
needed information, says Chris Cantrell, the county's GIS Systems Coordinator.
