2010 IMAGIN Student Poster & Paper Competition a Success!
 

A special thanks to Schoolcraft College for once again hosting the event and generously providing food and beverage!

The 2010 IMAGIN Student Poster & Paper Competition was a success this year. Six undergraduate posters were displayed and two graduate papers were presented. For the fourth year in a row the competition was held at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.  

The results are as follows:

Graduate Paper Competition Results:

1st Place:
Susan Henson, Eastern Michigan University

1st Place:

4th Place:

Ashley Kelley, Garry Stewart & Eric Spaugh, Ferris State University Poster Title:  MRWA:  GIS Analysis of Water Quality Data

 

5th Place:

Megan Peters, Michigan State University

Poster Title:  Lansing Sex Offenders

 

6th Place: 

Kymm Beltz, Schoolcraft College

Poster Title:  Colorado Hummingbird Migration

 

Posters and papers will be displayed on the IMAGIN Awards website in the near future.

IMAGIN would like to thank all the competitors for making the day successful.  A special thanks goes out to this year’s judges; Bryan Thompson, Professor Emeritus of Geography & Urban Planning at Wayne State University; Matt Malone, GIS Coordinator at the City of Farmington Hills; and Jim Miller, GIS Department Manager at Hubbell, Roth, and Clark, Inc.  The IMAGIN Professional Recognition Committee is grateful for their dedication and enthusiasm.
