The IMAGIN Student Poster & Paper Competition gives
students the opportunity to gain professional
experience, recognition, cash awards, and other GIS
prizes. The top 3 finalists from the undergraduate
and graduate categories will be asked to attend the
May 4-7 Conference in Dearborn. Graduates will be
asked to present papers and undergraduates to
display their posters. These finalists will also
receive free lodging, paid conference registration,
and a one year free membership to IMAGIN.
Undergraduate Poster Competition
The IMAGIN undergraduate poster competition aims to
promote the presentation of posters by students at
professional conferences, specifically the IMAGIN
conference in May 2008. Posters must be based upon
original work, completed as an undergraduate and
relevant to the field of GIScience. Submittal of
projects done for class is encouraged. All
undergraduate entries will be accepted.

Undergraduate Placings & Monetary Awards:
1st place award is $250.
Graduate Paper Competition
Final papers must incorporate a GIS application with
a maximum of 4000 words of text. Six graduate
finalists will be asked to present at the
competition and all entries will be notified on
Friday, January 4, 2008 as to whether or not they
have been chosen to present.
